May we train our eyes to seek the sparkle in the ocean in spite of the harshness we face in the world. And may we spread our own bit of that warm love to others whenever and wherever we can. May that be our own gentle call to battle. To heal. To love. In spite of it all.
Sobriety has opened my eyes to see that I have been standing in a garden full of carrots ripe for the picking this whole time. And the carrot I’ve been chasing was made out of cardboard all along, an empty promise for all the things I believed it would provide, a lie.
